In addition to guaranteeing a basic income for families living in poverty and extreme poverty throughout the country, Auxilio Brasil seeks to simplify the basket of benefits and encourage the emancipation of participating families, so that they can achieve autonomy, overcoming situations of vulnerability.
In order to be able to receive the benefit, the family must be registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico). In addition, the maximum monthly income allowed is up to 210 reais per family, and there must be at least one pregnant woman, nursing mother or young person up to 21 years old in the family unit.
In order to continue in the program, the following conditions must be met, such as: school attendance being up to date, 60% for children aged 4 to 5 years old and 75% for children aged 6 to 21 years old, as well as vaccination and infant nutrition for children.
Those responsible must monitor the national vaccine portfolio, as well as carry out nutritional monitoring for children up to 7 years of age. As for pregnant women, it is essential that prenatal care is carried out correctly.
Furthermore, families that obtained an increase in monthly income may still remain in the program for up to 24 months, not being a reason for the end of transfers. However, the value of up to 525 reais per person should be maintained.
