Despite being little known, Point Nemo is of great importance to science. This is an area of vast scientific interest, as it is one of the deepest points in the ocean and one of the rare places on the planet where the water is completely pure, free of pollution and any interference human.

Spaceship Graveyard

Point Nemo is considered the ideal place to dispose of spacecraft that are no longer in operation, which is why NASA refers to it as the "spacecraft graveyard".

This segment of ocean is technically called the “point of oceanic inaccessibility”, as it is located approximately 2,700 km from any piece of land. However, it is often referred to as a Space Graveyard or simply Point Nemo.

In 2012, Spanish filmmaker Javier Bardem and his team tried to reach the point to film a documentary, but they too were prevented by the weather conditions.

In summary, Point Nemo is a unique and fascinating place. Though difficult to reach and explore, Point Nemo continues to fascinate and intrigue people across the world.
