As of Monday (10), the payment of PBP and PET grants, referring to the month of March and the readjustment of 75% of its value, began. The bank must credit the benefit to the scholarship holders' account within five working days.
According to the announcement by President Luís Inácio Lula da Silva, this is the first readjustment of scholarships in ten years of the PBP, which updated the value of the scholarship from R$ 400 to R$ 700, as of February.
The program establishes that the value of the scholarship for indigenous and quilombola students cannot be less than twice the value of the scholarship for other students. In line with this rule, the value of the scholarship for this group of scholarship holders was updated to R$ 1,400, as opposed to the R$ 900 they previously received.
There was a 75% increase in PET bags. The scholarship for scholarship students was updated from R$ 400 to R$ 700. Tutors with a master's degree now receive R$2,100, as opposed to the R$1,500 they previously received. Scholarships for tutors with a doctorate were updated from R$2,200 to R$3,100, a 75% increase. The PBP-Prouni scholarship also went through a 75% readjustment, going from R$ 400 to R$ 700.
