Note that the Follow Santa website is not new and is actually Google's annual Christmas-themed effort since 2004. The site features a number of games and other activities, all depicting one aspect of Christmas or another.
So what's new this time? For starters, there are a variety of minigames you can play on Google's Christmas-themed website. Some of them are called Santa Selfie, Elf Maker, Ollie Under the Sea, Elf Ski, Gumball Tilt, Present Bounce, Snowball Storm, Penguin Dash and many more.
Other than that, Google Santa Tracker promises avenues for the whole family to enjoy, with fun activities lined up for people of all ages. Some games have been developed to teach kids coding. Examples include games like Code Lab and Code Boogie. Then there are puzzles and quizzes that show you how Christmas is celebrated in different parts of the world.
To foster creativity, some of the games allow players to create their own thing, be it a painting or a 3D model made out of snow. These games include Santa Screen, Snowbox, Elf Maker and more. In addition to games, the site also contains several animated videos of stories based on Santa's village. Some of them are Ollie Under the Sea, The Elf's Car, A Day at the Museum and many more.
In addition, Google has also offered new experiences with its Google Assistant, which will allow users to hear news straight from the North Pole or listen to jokes about Santa Claus. Similar experiences have also been enabled on Google services such as Google Search.
The main objective of the Follow Santa Claus website, as the name suggests, is to follow the movement of Santa Claus as he travels around the world delivering gifts to children. To that end, the entire Santa Claus village on Google will turn into a tracking experience on December 24th. This will allow users to follow Santa Claus and his reindeer as they "deliver gifts to children around the world".
