In Spain, even without entering the field, the football referee receives 11,000 euros a month, in addition to 12,000 euros a month in image rights. Income exceeds the salary of the country's prime minister .
Even with salaries so high in Spain, football referees in the region are not the highest earners. In Europe, Italy's Serie A pays the best, around 23,000 euros per game.
