Protests by students, teachers and workers are scheduled for this Thursday, May 30, in the streets of Brazilian cities against the contingency of funding for universities and federal institutes carried out by government. The demonstrations also put the Social Security Reform on the agenda.
In the capital of São Paulo, the demonstration is scheduled to take place in Largo da Batata, west zone, from 5 pm.

In Rio de Janeiro, the student movement will be concentrated in Candelária, downtown, starting at 3 pm. Demonstrations in defense of education are also scheduled in New York (United States), Geneva (Switzerland), Lisbon (Portugal) and Dublin (Ireland).
