How much do the rich in the Northeast earn

Below are the average monthly earnings of people considered wealthy in the nine northeastern states. Check out:

  • Sergipe: BRL 18,978.56;
  • Rio Grande do Norte: BRL 18,030.09;
  • Piauí: BRL 17,293.04;
  • Pernambuco: BRL 17,701.53;
  • Paraíba: BRL 17,409.39;
  • Maranhão: BRL 15,818.62;
  • Ceará: BRL 17,583.63;
  • Bahia: BRL 16,788.94;
  • Alagoas: BRL 16,418.14;
  • Area average: BRL 17,335.77.

To reach the regional average, the averages of each of the states were added and the value obtained with the sum was divided by nine, which is the number of Federative Units in the Northeast region.

In other words, a rich Northeastern earns an average of R$ 208,029.24 per year, if the earnings over the 12 months of the year are considered.

Generally, those who qualify for these salaries are politicians, high-ranking public officials (including the military), successful businessmen and artists, etc.

It is also worth noting that the average can be reached by adding up the earnings of an entire family, not just an individual.

Furthermore, to be considered rich, a person must earn well enough to have a higher standard of living than the average standard of the region in question.
