The president of the Union of Companies Providing Services to Third Parties and Temporary Work of São Paulo, Vander Morales, highlighted the importance of this date, since it is the third best period of the year to hire temporary.
“Temporary work, in addition to being necessary to meet the increase in commercial movement in this time of year, also contributes to the reduction of unemployment and to the circulation of money in the economy. The company's staff is lean and, in seasonal peaks of production and sales, as happens at Easter, temporary work is the solution to recompose this workforce and fulfill orders. The chance of being hired exists for that professional who stands out and, even so, it will depend on the combination of two determining factors: the worker's competence and the contractor's need", affirm.

The president of Sindeprestem says that, even though the economic scenario is affected by the effects of the pandemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine, the appeal of Easter is very strong for temporary workers. “We live in a period of economic uncertainty caused by several external and internal factors, but the Easter tradition is to give gifts with chocolates. Consumers may even spend less, but they will not stop shopping”, he assesses.
An estimated 14,000 vacancies are estimated by the Brazilian Association of Outsourced Services Companies and Temporary Work (Asserttem) and that are distributed, especially, for the production of chocolate and in the retail.
The temporary contract aims to meet a temporary need of the employer, without necessarily making a permanent employment relationship. “In this contracting model, the presence of an intermediary company and/or agency is required, which will serve as an intermediary in the contracting process. This company will make its workforce available to other companies, facilitating the selection and admission of these employees”, highlights Vander Morales.
The nature of temporary work contracts is transitory and the terms cannot be longer than 180 days with an extension of up to 90 days. Above this period, nature becomes indeterminate. “Another important rule worth clarifying is that the temporary worker who fulfills the stipulated periods of 180 days and 90 days (extension) can only be made available to the same service provider in a new temporary contract, ninety days after the end of the previous contract", said the president of the Sindeprestem.
