What is RGA?

First, the RGA consists of a digital wallet, stamped and numbered, which will contain data regarding the tutors and the animal itself. Thus, this is a mandatory document by law in the city of São Paulo. This applies to all dogs and cats over the age of 3 months. In addition, an identification plate with the number corresponding to the RGA on the animal is part of this Register. It should be fixed to the collar of the same.

Mandatory documents:

First of all, for issuing the RGA, you need to separate the following documents:

• Photo of the animal (which will appear on the card);
• Guardian's official identification document (RG and CPF);
• Certificate of vaccination against rabies of the animal, with the signature of the Veterinarian (in the case of Private) or the proof issued by the City Hall (in the case of the SUS);
• Proof of updated address (issued within 90 days) and in the name of the person responsible.

How to apply?

The São Paulo City Hall made it possible to request registration online, through the SP156 portal. To do so, access this link and fill out the requested form. Then forward it through the system itself, together with the necessary documents.

So, to perform the service in person, prior appointment is required. In addition, attend one of the Service Centers, carrying the documents mentioned above, which are mandatory.
