Project brings together Brazilian short films for use in the classroom

The use of media in the classroom has been increasingly adopted by teachers in teaching at all ages. To enrich the professors' portfolio, Synapse Produções developed the Curta na Escola project, a portal that brings together 530 Brazilian short films for pedagogical use as support material.

In all, around 60,000 students have already benefited from the project. The most accessed video is also the most popular among elementary and high school students. This is Ilha das Flores, a 1989 short film directed by Jorge Furtado that portrays, in 13 minutes, social inequality through the trajectory of a tomato.
