Several Jokes with fun ordinal numbers for children

A very important concept to learn from mathematics is ordinal numbers. These numbers help us at different times, giving order and place to things.

Ordinal numbers are used to indicate order, place, or position. For example: what is the third month of the year? To know the answer, we need to know this concept.

Building position concept

Take different cards with numbers from 1 to 10 written on them and ask students to place them in the correct order. Once students have organized correctly, ask the following questions:

• What is the first figure?
• What is the last figure?
• What is the 5th and 6th figure?

Play with the body using the order of the numerals

Place chairs in a circle and define one as the initial chair and the other as the final one, put on music and ask the students to walk around around the chair, when the music stops, everyone sits down, then ask the students to say what is the position of each one according to the chair initial.

Master sent activity

Ask all students to stay at their desks and make orders according to the position of each one, or each row, example:

• The master ordered the student in the first row and second desk to stand up;
• The master ordered the students in the fifth row to clap;
• The master ordered the students from the third and fourth rows to jump.
