Nikola Tesla, one of history's greatest visionaries and inventors, is known for his revolutionary contributions in the field of electricity and magnetism. However, Tesla was also a prophet of technological progress, making bold predictions about the future that, incredibly, have come true in the 21st century. Here are six of those predictions that came true:

Check out the 6 greatest predictions of Nikola Tesla:
1. Cell phone
As early as 1926, Tesla began talking about the possible emergence of “pocket technologies”. Which, years later, was confirmed with the arrival of cell phones.
The scientist also predicted the possibilities of one day being able to connect to events and places even though we are physically distant, and still be able to send and receive information without using wires.
2. Robots and AI
Already at that time, in addition to describing the operation of future automatic cars, Tesla also claimed that some vehicles could one day think and make decisions on their own.
Nowadays we can compare these concepts to the artificial intelligences and robots that are emerging.
3. wifi
Returning to Tesla's claims about the possible reality of cable-free data transmission, he came very close to the means by which this would be possible: Wi-Fi Internet.
The physicist wrote that at some point we would be sending and receiving calls, music, videos and documents without needing any kind of electronic wire.
4. planes
One of his predictions was also about the possibility of traveling across the sky and being able to reach different continents in just a few hours.
According to him, the technology would reach the commercial planes of today: flying machines carrying several people at high speed, without using wires or fuel.
5. Drones
Still in 1898, Tesla performed a test to control a flying machine remotely. And at that time many people doubted this feat, believing that some kind of animal was inside the object controlling it.
However, the object was empty, becoming the forerunner of flying and remotely controllable machines, nowadays known as drones.
6. Laser
Ultimately, Tesla foresaw the creation of directed beams of energy, which we now know as a laser. He believed these rays could be used for defense and security, a vision that has come true in the field of military technology.
