Those who do not know much about this biome may think that it is a marshy region, full of swamps. Okay, wetlands are very common in the wetlands. But there are not only swamps and swamps there.
The wetland occupies the southern part of the state of Mato Grosso and the northwest of Mato Grosso do Sul. These are the Brazilian regions of the biome, which add up to around 137,000 km2. Beyond the border, it continues through northern Paraguay and eastern Bolivia.
Located close to the Amazon and the savannah, the wetland guards species of fauna and flora from these other two biomes, in addition to presenting endemic species, that is, which can only be found in that geographic area, native to the region.
