His study method was dozens of colorful sticky notes, the famous post-its. He pasted the notes on the wall of his room to help memorize the syllabus.

study method

Post-it notes can be used in many creative ways to really help you with your review. Check out some tips on how to use this method:

1. Write hard to remember things, facts, quotes or formulas in different colored notes for each subject. Paste them where you will see them. For example, around the bathroom mirror or on the back of the bedroom door.

2. Test your sequencing using post-it notes. For example, the correct order for a process in science or geography.

3. Use your sticky notes to create a mind map. Write down what you know about a topic on sticky notes. Then arrange them on a wall or a large piece of paper to explore your ideas.

4. You can even use notes to practice writing plans. Take notes from your mind map or create new notes to play around with the order of your points of view.

5. Tag your books to keep track of important pages and information.
