A Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) registration period opens for 210 places in free language courses. The initiative is part of the “Projeto Boa Neighborhood” and provides teaching in seven languages over three semesters.
Classes made up of 30 students each can choose to study English, Spanish, French, Latin, Greek, Italian and LIBRAS. The selection of registered candidates will be done by lottery.

Priority will be given to students from public schools not linked to the courses offered by the university, in addition to residents of neighborhoods neighboring the campus (Adolfo Vireque, Dom Bosco, São Pedro, Marilândia and other 35 places).
Unfilled vacancies will be filled by other applicants following the same criteria. Entries can be made until August 9th by completing the online form or, even, in person.
In this case, they will be received at the Secretariat of the Pro-Rectory of Extension (Proex), on working days, until 5 pm. The draw is scheduled for 6 pm on August 14 at the Amphitheater of the UFJF Dean's Offices.
Candidates are invited to attend but their presence is not mandatory. The list of those selected will be published on the Proex website on the 15th. Enrollments must be made on the 16th and 17th of August, at the secretary of the Pro-Rectory.
Approved candidates must provide copies of their identity document, proof of address and schooling. Attendance will be made from 8 am to 12 pm and from 13 pm to 17 pm. The first class of the courses is scheduled for August 20th.
Classes will be held at the UFJF Faculty of Letters and at the annex building of the Institute of Biological Sciences (ICB).
