The Student Financing (FIES) ends, this Tuesday (24), the enrollment period in the open edition for the second semester. Scheduled to end last Sunday, the deadline was extended by the Ministry of Education (MEC) with a process to be developed on the program's website.
The extension was due to failures presented by the system that induced, for example, the offer of vacancies that did not even exist. For this reason, Pasta had to contact the enrolled students so that they could redo the selection process. Registrations that were not redone were canceled and candidates were also informed by email and SMS.

Before announcing 'new Fies', MEC 'goes after' students...
Run! The complementary registration period for Fies is open…
Until yesterday morning (23rd), the MEC had registered 170,190 completed enrollments in the 155,000 vacancies made available in this edition. Of the total amount, 50 thousand provide financing at zero interest. FIES accepts applications from Enem participants from 2010 onwards who obtained an average equal to or greater than 450 points without zeroing the essay.
The new FIES offers two modalities. In FIES, the requirement is a gross per capita family income of up to three monthly minimum wages. P-Fies, in turn, accepts applications from students whose per capita family income is between three and five monthly minimum wages. In this case, financing is provided by accredited banks.
After the changes implemented by the program, courses with monthly fees of up to R$ 7,000 can be financed at a minimum of 50%. In addition to the extension, the date for publishing the results was also changed to July 30th. The completion of the registration must be made until August 03, from the date of publication of the results.
Those who are not included in this first call can try again, expressing their interest in joining the waiting list. The deadline for the procedure is between the 4th and 24th of August. Entries, follow-up and expressions of interest must be made through the FIES website.
The student must first access the website: http://fiesselecaoaluno.mec.gov.br/usuario-login. If you have not yet accessed the system, you must register the new user providing name, date of birth, e-mail, telephone and, finally, register a password. The registration confirmation link will be sent to the email provided.
From there, the candidate must complete the authentication process and then log in again. Then, you must start entering all the requested data on four screens, namely:
The available options will be informed, including the name of the graduation, place of offer, concept in MEC, offer shifts, type of course (bachelor's or teaching degree), monthly fee for FIES, indexation index, in addition to expected salary initial. From the selection, the candidate can choose up to two other options, as long as they are related to the preference group.
It is also possible to simulate financing in FIES, in addition to the availability in the modalities. Finally, the candidate must inform whether he completed any part of the course or whether he is starting his degree now. Finally, complete your request and wait for the results according to the schedule made available in that edition.
