Starting this Wednesday (9), the Sesc Prize for Literature registration opens for its 2019 edition. The initiative is aimed at debuting authors of unpublished novels or short stories. The winners will have their works published and distributed by Record, with an initial print run of 2,000 copies.
Organized by the Social Service of Commerce (Sesc), the award was created in 2003 and became known in the literary circuit because it is destined exclusively to new writers, opening the doors of the market to them editorial.

Registration is free and can be done online until February 14th. The works are evaluated for their quality for publication and national circulation.
The choice of winners takes place through a process in which the evaluators are not able to know who the authors are. Submitted books are protected by pseudonyms.
In the last edition, held in 2018, the winner in the Romance category was Between the hands, by Juliana Leite, from Rio de Janeiro, and in the Short story category, As Things, by Gaucho Tobias Carvalho. With information from Agência Brasil.
