Astronomy lovers will be ecstatic about this news. In fact, it is possible that everyone believes that the direction of rotation of the Earth's core remains stable forever. But not. Chinese scientists reveal that there has been a change in the direction of earth core and that the next one will only occur in 2040. See below for more details on this phenomenon.

Chinese scientists recently published that the Earth's core would have reversed its direction of rotation. About 5,000 kilometers away from the surface, the Earth's core, made essentially of iron, it would have for its direction of rotation and, then, it started to move in the direction contrary. Sources provided by Nature Geoscience.
Currently, it is still difficult to describe, as it floats in the liquid of the outer core. However, there is some information about it, and some of it is based on analysis of seismic waves, caused by earthquakes.
According to Xiaodong Song and Yi Yang, from the University of Peking, in China, there were analyzes of these waves seismic surveys and, in 2009, they concluded that the core almost stopped and later turned back in the direction opposite.
However, for the researchers, they believe that the central core is rotating in one direction and then another, with a kind of rocking. A complete cycle lasts seven decades, that is, every 35 years the direction of rotation changes.
In terms of dates, studies reveal that this phenomenon already occurred in 1970, then in 2009 and the next one will occur around 2040. They also said that the movement adjusts according to changes in the length of the day.
Even after several studies, little is known about the influence of this rotation on the surface of the terrestrial. However, the authors of the research are sure that there are physical connections between all the layers that make up the Earth.
