Most Brazilians had not even heard the name of this business administrator before the announcement that she would be the new president of Caixa. However, Daniella already worked with the public sector, including at the Ministry of Economy, alongside Minister Paulo Guedes. In January 2019, she became head of the Ministry's Special Advisory on Strategic Affairs.
Earlier this year, she migrated to the Special Secretariat for Productivity and Competitiveness as head of the department. It is worth mentioning that Marques has a long history of partnership with the Minister of Economy, as he was his partner at Bozano Investimentos. Therefore, the Government is betting on Daniella's name for the necessary changes and also to help Caixa's image.
It will certainly not be easy for Daniella to assume the presidency of one of the largest state-owned companies in Brazil in the midst of an investigation by the Public Ministry of Labor. However, it is confident to reverse the practices of the former management, focusing on listening to the state's oldest employees. Including, the new president plans to proceed with internal investigations to discover the possible involvement of other employees in the sexual harassment scandals.
But beyond that, Daniella also arrives at Caixa with the speech of having experience in the financial market and also in management. According to the forecasts of the Ministry, she should assume the presidency this week and start working immediately. At first, she will have the mission to remove the allies of former president Pedro Guimarães, who participated in her harassment schemes.
