According to a survey of 2,000 employees, it was found that the average person spends nearly 50 hours a year shopping coffee during the working day.
The study revealed that, on average, it takes about 16 minutes to leave the table, buy a drink and return. With three such trips a week, employees end up missing an entire week of work over the course of the year.

Interestingly, many people find having their favorite drink in hand as a way to start their work day in a productive way.
According to the survey, most people get organized, have their favorite drink and check their email as part of their morning routine.
While hot coffee is the most popular first choice, with 66% of respondents opting for a cup of coffee, it is also notable that beverages cold drinks, such as iced coffee, water and flavored water, are also enjoyed by a significant portion of respondents, with 47%, 45% and 30% respectively.
Furthermore, research conducted by OnePoll, on behalf of multi-beverage systems manufacturer Flavia, revealed a possible link between coffee preference and daily productivity.
This finding suggests that choice of favorite beverage can have a positive impact on job performance, for example, which is not all that unheard of.
According to the survey, 77% of coffee drinkers said they need two or more cups of coffee to feel productive during their workday.
Additionally, nearly a quarter of respondents (24%) mentioned that Mondays are the day of the week they most need coffee.
Another interesting fact is that 60% of respondents use a hot cup of coffee to improve their mood at work. However, participants also demonstrated a willingness to get creative with their beverages to bring variety throughout the day.
About two thirds (64%) stated that they “always” or “frequently” vary the type of drink they consume during working hours, looking for refreshing alternatives.
These results highlight the importance of coffee in the workplace, both as a source of energy and productivity and as a way to improve mood.
In addition, the search for variety in beverages suggests that employees are looking for options that meet their specific needs and preferences throughout the day.
