The payment of the Gas Aid benefit will take place between the 9th and the 22nd of August, and will be based on the final digit of the Social Registration Number (NIS). It is worth informing that the dates are the same for those who receive the Brazil Aid.
In this way, payment traditionally follows the calendar of the old social program (Bolsa Família), which paid beneficiaries in the last 10 working days of each month. However, the month of August will be an exception.
With the new constitutional amendment, values were increased by around 100% for social benefits, which consequently causes the value of gas to be doubled by the end of the year. However, in 2023, the benefit will return to its normal value.
An important point about the payment is that the Gas Aid is bimonthly, that is, paid every two months. In this way, the beneficiary will receive their aid with the adjusted amounts only in the months of August, October and December 2022.
The benefit can be withdrawn with the same cards that are used to withdraw the Auxílio Brasil. In this way, it can be withdrawn at lottery shops and self-service terminals. In addition, withdrawals can also be made through the application created for Emergency Aid payments, Caixa Tem, which are digital savings accounts.
