Ministry of Education publishes new FIES notice with schedule for the 2nd semester

The notice for the Student Financing Fund (Fies) was released by the Ministry of Education in Friday, July 22nd, and confirms that entries will run from August 9th to 11:59 pm on August 12th. August. The information was disclosed by the Minister of Education, Victor Godoy Veiga, during participation in the live event of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). New notice with schedule for the 2nd semester of FIES is already released

The Ministry of Education (MEC) initiative offers credit to students who pay their tuition fees at private institutions with zero or varied interest rates according to your capacity of payment. Entries to compete for funding can be made from from the program page. To apply for the benefit, the student must comply with some rules and also some guidelines, namely:

• Having an average of 450 points in the question booklet and not having reset the essay grade;
• You cannot have taken the test as a “Treineiro” in the edition in which you are submitting the grade;
• The monthly family income per capita must be up to R$ 3,636.00, that is, up to 3 minimum wages.

It is worth mentioning that Enem scores can be used since the 2010 edition for enrollment through Fies. Finally, students who were not selected in the regular call may have one more chance, as they are automatically placed on the waiting list.

FIES schedule

According to the FIES schedule for the second half of the year released by the MEC, registration for funding begins on August 9th and runs until the 12th on the program's page. The result of the selection will take place on the 16th of August and the contemplation of the application can be seen on the page of the program from the 17th to the 19th of August. Finally, the waiting list for those who were not included in the first call will run from August 22nd to September 22nd.
