New World Wealth produced the wealthiest cities analysis report by collecting data from around the world. However, focus was given to 97 cities due to their high concentration, with at least 150,000 people who have high purchasing power.
The consumption patterns of these individuals were analyzed to create a ranking of the richest cities.

The results reflect the current reality of the modern economy, with the high concentration of these cities in specific regions. 3 of them are located in the United States, and another 5 in the Asian continent, and most are high technology centers.
New York City, United States of America
In first place is the City of New York, which has held this position as the richest city in the world for several years now. In addition, it has been observed in the last 10 years, starting in 2012, a 40% increase in the number of millionaires in its territory.
Currently, this city is populated with 340,000 individuals who have assets in excess of $1 million. In addition to 724 individuals who own at least more than $100 million and 58 billionaires.
Therefore, it is enshrined as the city with the most millionaires per square meter.
Tokyo, Japan
In second place in the ranking is Tokyo, the capital of Japan, and home to 21% of the country's millionaires. It houses 290,300 people with more than US$ 1 million, in addition to 250 individuals with assets above US$ 100 million and 14 billionaires.
San Francisco Bay Area, United States of America
In third place in the ranking is the San Francisco Bay Area, a region where cities like San Francisco and Silicon Valley are located.
Being well known for being a technological hub and home to several billionaires, it has been possible to accompany, in the last decade, a 68% increase in its population of millionaires.
In this region, there are 285,000 individuals with assets above US$ 1 million, 629 with more than US$ 100 million and 63 billionaires. The latter being even larger than New York City.
