Romeo and Juliet cake recipe

This recipe is ideal for those who love cakes and, above all, the combination of cheese and guava. It is possible to consume the preparation as dessert or in snacks and it is very simple to make, as the preparation time is only one hour and yields up to 16 servings.

cake ingredients

  • ½ kg of traditional wheat flour (unleavened);
  • 4 chicken eggs;
  • 1 glass of milk;
  • 300 grams of margarine or butter;
  • 2 cups of sugar tea;
  • 2 tablespoons of baking powder.

topping ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk;
  • 2 cups of guava tea cut into cubes;
  • 1 cup grated coconut tea;
  • 1 cup of grated cheese.

Method of preparation

First you must prepare the cake. Choose a container or deep bowl, add the sugar and margarine and beat until you form a type of cream. Once this is done, add the four eggs, one at a time, remembering to check that they are good for consumption before mixing them. Then add the wheat flour little by little, pour in the milk and add the baking powder.

Beat the dough until it's very homogeneous and let the oven preheat to 180ºC. Then grease a round baking dish with butter or margarine, sprinkle flour on the pan and transfer the cake dough to the container.

Distribute the guava jam in cubes over the cake dough and then cover with condensed milk. Mix the coconut and grated cheese and add to the dough.

Finally, cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil, place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes. After this period, remove the foil and leave the cake for another 10 minutes in the oven until golden brown.
