The shame

It is a fact that shame can be considered a crucial reason in people's reality for them not to achieve what they want. Given this, linked to fear, it makes many give up trying to get where they want. In this way, it is an issue that directly affects people's daily lives, allowing the appearance of problems and affecting the mental health of each one.

As mentioned above, shame can be a consequence of traumas and problems that happened in childhood and were internalized. Thinking about it, we think it's important to bring solutions on how to prevent your children from suffering from this impasse in the future and what attitudes those responsible should avoid.

How to preserve your children's mental health?

First, the strict treatment between parents and children can be seen by many as a way of educating them. However, this form of education can generate trauma and, consequently, affect your child and your relationship with him, generating insecurity and guilt that he should not carry.

Another important point to be reported is when parents project their day-to-day frustrations and stress onto their children, being something that they are not to blame and end up closing themselves more and more to the dialogues and barriers that they face. It is worth noting that your children's choices are theirs alone and should not belong to you.

Furthermore, problems such as depression, anxiety, inferiority complex and others can be consequences that shame can bring and complicate your child's life more and more. Be mindful of how you want your child to grow up and think about the healthiest way to make that happen. Remember: dialogue is essential.
