The new update of whatsapp web has generated a series of user complaints dissatisfied with the functioning of the tool. On Twitter, the subject was one of the most commented topics on Monday, 4.
Internet users complain of errors in sending messages, disappearance of the chat history and, mainly, slowness in the system. The reason would be the release of the multi-device feature announced by the company last year.

The novelty allows users to use the same account on up to four different devices, even if the cell phone is not connected to the internet. The operation on the computers will be “independent”.
In response to G1, WhatsApp said it is working to resolve the issues. “Maintaining support for viewing links on WhatsApp Web, real-time location in linked devices and better synchronization of deleted chats between devices is also in the works,” said the company.
As they are not compatible with the update, functions such as “broadcast lists, sending and receiving messages to your own number and sticker packs synced from phone to linked device” were removed.
Users claim that the platform has been poorly functional, with a lot of slowness to download messages. In many cases, the chat history is not even displayed.
“We are not interested in having web connectivity without the cell phone. We want our files to be accessible on WhatsApp Web in the search function,” wrote one user on Twitter.

The problem with the new WhatsApp Web is not just slowness…
It also doesn't load older posts, doesn't have the YouTube miniplayer, and doesn't even have thumbnail previews for website links...
It's a total downgrade...

Below, read the full note sent by the company:
“WhatsApp is implementing new features in WhatsApp Web and Desktop version. With this update, it will be possible to connect WhatsApp on up to four linked devices at the same time, without requiring the phone to be online. Each of these devices will connect to WhatsApp independently, maintaining the same level of privacy and security people expect from the app secured by end-to-end encryption tip. These changes began rolling out to users in January, and will roll out to all iOS users in March and Android users in April.
User feedback has shown that there is still a way to go. WhatsApp is aware that people are experiencing delays loading their messages securely on WhatsApp Web and Desktop and is already working on improvements to get the experience back to normal on all devices linked.
Maintaining support for viewing links on WhatsApp Web, real-time location in linked devices and better synchronization of deleted chats between devices is also in course. However, some features have been withdrawn as they are no longer possible with the update, including broadcast lists, sending and receiving messages to your own number and sticker packs synced from phone to device linked.
Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts as we worked tirelessly to improve WhatsApp Web and Desktop.“
