Tips for removing grout slime

  • Clean with Active Chlorine

There are a variety of products that contain certain levels of active chlorine, and they are great for removing slime from bathroom grout. Therefore, cleaning using these products is easy.

With the help of a spray bottle, spray the chlorine on the grout. But don't forget to open the bathroom door to allow air to circulate. And then, chlorinate the affected areas.

Then let the chlorine act on the soiled areas for an hour. Take this moment to leave the bathroom, as the smell of chlorine can be suffocating. And then, after an hour, rinse all the grout with plenty of water and you'll see that the slime is already gone!

  • Clean with Vinegar and Neutral Detergent

If you want to avoid the suffocating smell of chlorine, no problem, we have another recipe for you! Mixing 500 ml of white vinegar and 200 ml of detergent, you have a powerful mixture to remove the lime. So, mix a lot and put it in a sprayer and repeat the process of the first recipe, spraying all over the grout.

You will also need to pass a soft sponge to spread the mixture and make it go deeper. Then, let it rest for an hour and only then rinse and dry the bathroom. And so the slime was gone.

  • Clean with detergent and baking soda

Finally, we present another recipe with acidic and degreasing ingredients. Squeeze a lemon and mix the juice with 3 tablespoons of bicarbonate and 100 ml of detergent. Then mix it well until it has the consistency of a paste.

Then just apply this paste over the grout and rub it with a sponge or brush. It will also be necessary to let the product take effect for 2 hours and then you can remove it by rinsing the grout well.
