These courses, following the model of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), are accessible from a distance and will be available from the beginning of May. UFES plans to add new free courses to the catalog soon.
The initiative is the result of a partnership between the Pro-Rectory of Extension (Proex), the Superintendence of Distance Education (Sead) and the University's Secretariat for International Relations (SRI).
Those interested can create an account on the platform, choose the course you want and study at your own pace. Upon completing the course with a minimum score of 70%, it is possible to obtain an online certificate, free of charge and recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC). It is a flexible and affordable learning opportunity for those who want to expand their knowledge and skills.
The courses are self-taught, that is, they do not have online or face-to-face tutors. While some courses are geared towards specific areas, there are no requirements to attend.
