The study data were collected in May 2023, with more than 600 employees in 17 companies. From this, the startup identified the following areas with cases of burnout:
In summary, the questionnaire organized the burnout stage in each professional, considering the following levels: null, low, moderate, high and severe. Each area received scores according to the cases presented.
In this way, “indicators above 30 signal that the disease phase is in a moderate stage, turning on a warning signal to users and to companies in monitoring emotions and using strategies aimed at reducing this index", explained Deivison Pedroza, CEO of Way Minder.
Therefore, positions in the HR, Sales, Education, Leadership, Administrative and IT sectors are the ones that most present cases of professional burnout in Brazil.
The research was even able to identify how this occupational disease spreads between leadership positions, such as management and coordination. Thus, all positions below had moderate cases of the occupational disease.
In addition, the analysis considered other relevant data, pointing to higher scores among top executives and people from Generation X (born between 1960-1980).
To manage the high volume of responses, the company used an AI technology called Eliis, a generative Artificial Intelligence system that can collect information through a chat.
According to the Exame news portal, the chatbot was mainly developed to interact with employees who do not respond to online questionnaires.
Although this result indicates the six main areas of work, professional burnout is a occupational disease that manifests itself in almost all professional sectors.
