ACTIVITIES WITH NAME FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

First-name literacy activities allow students to get to know each other more, in addition to getting to know their friends. The teacher can open a circle where each student says their name, who they chose, the reason for their choice, if it has any important meaning and much more. Then, the teacher can ask students to bring newspaper clippings that include the names of other classmates.

After all the names are said in the circle with classmates, prepare a crossword with the students' names and have everyone do it at home. Another idea is to work with the initial letter of the student's name, ask him to separate some figures that start with the same letter as his name. Also, learn about other activities that can be done in the classroom or as homework.

Activity with first name: The teacher must hand out a card with the name of each student. Then present a list with the names of all students, remembering that it must be capitalized. Ask them to identify their names from the list. Tell them to assemble their full names with movable letters. Therefore, the list needs to be large and highly visible. The teacher can use a model and give the children to do the same, but then ask them to do it without copying the model. Deliver the model at the end just so they can check if it's done correctly.

Name Bingo: Distribute a table with all student names or you can enter other names as well. Ask them to complete the table as if it were a real bingo.
