Inaugurated in August 1995, the João Moreira da Silva Municipal Museum houses a large part of the history and development of Andradas. It also has a small historical and cultural collection of the country and the region, represented by objects and old household items. Andradas suffered great Italian influence in its colonization, with more than 500 families residing in the municipality. In 2006, the Museum received a collection that tells the story of these immigrants, who contributed so much to the development of the city. It then came to be called the “Italian Immigration” House of Memory. The building, an example of architecture from the end of the 19th century, was resized to house the aforementioned collections.
