MEC creates working group to improve the Profuncionário

The creation of a working group, charged with proposing improvements to the Initial In-Service Training Program for Basic Education Professionals in Public Education Systems (Profuncionário). This is the purpose of the ordinance, published last Friday (11), by the Ministry of Education (MEC).

Operating for 90 days, the group established by the ordinance must have 20 members, including representatives of the Secretariats for Professional and Technological Education, Basic Education and Intersectoral Articulation with Education Systems of the MEC. Representatives of the Coordination for the Improvement of Level Personnel should also participate in the initiative. Superior (Capes), the National Education Forum (FNE), the Confederation of Education Workers (CNTE); the Council of State Secretaries of Education (Consed); the National Union of Municipal Education Directors (Undime); of the National Council of Institutions of the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education (Conif) and the National Council of Directors of Technical Schools Linked to Federal Universities (Condetuf).

Once the works are concluded, a report prepared by the group will be forwarded to the MEC, for later analysis and final determinations, regarding the proposed improvements and the possibility of returning the Profunctionary.

In its initial period, the purpose of the program was to provide technical courses at a medium level for the initial training of Basic Education professionals. In 2010, this was expanded to offer higher education courses, as well as to reinforce continuing education, through the incorporation of the National Policy for the Training of Basic Education Professionals. In the following year, the Profuncionário started to have the participation of the federal institutes of Education, Science and Technology, who were responsible for offering courses and preparing the respective plan strategic.

doing homework – At the same time, the Department of Education and Youth (Seduc) of the Municipality of Juazeiro (BA) started, this Monday (14), another training cycle continued for 150 teachers, with a view to preparing the local teaching staff to use the pedagogical material, intended for classes in the first year of Teaching Fundamental.

In the evaluation of the training director at Seduc de Juazeiro, Ana Paula Granja, the initiative aims to expand the repertoire of educators in the classroom, as well as strengthening their contact with the material didactic.

“In this cycle, we divided the teachers into six classes, each with 8 hours of training. The objective is to reinforce the approximation of educators with the literacy teaching material 'New Reading You Stay Knowing', from Learn Editora, which is a mediating instrument in the teaching-learning process of literacy classes”, concluded Ana Paula.
