Santander Bank and Harvard University are offering 300 scholarships for teachers who want to improve their teaching skills.
The Santander Innovation in Teaching 2023 program and Harvard Business Publishing Education have teamed up to promote actions that improve global teaching practices around the world.

For this reason, they provide scholarship free to train university professors from different countries, such as: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, United States, Spain, Portugal and United Kingdom.
“Innovation in pedagogical skills within the scope of higher education is in full swing. Our objective with the scholarship is precisely to contribute so that this innovation permeates educational institutions in the most practical, solid and long-lasting possible”, said Blanca Sagastume, director of Santander Universities, Open Innovation and Blockchain.
With classes completely online and free of charge, the Santander Scholarship Program offers classes with renowned and certified professors from Harvard. Entries must be made on the Santander Bolsas websiteuntil the 6th of September.
According to the financial institution, the grants are for online training with synchronous and asynchronous classes.
In all, the duration of the course will be 8 weeks and it is desirable that the participant has availability of 10 to 15 hours per week to complete the classes. These are organized into the following modules:
Module 1 – The Practice and Science of Learning;
Module 2 – Creating Strategies and Activating your Class;
Module 3 – The Power of Evaluation;
Module 4 – Peer Instruction Methodology.
The last iteration of the training will be a innovation lasting two days for participants to share their reflections on teaching methodologies and higher education.

The 300 scholarships are available in over 9 countries for university professors. To compete for one of them, the teacher must:
Be over 18 years old;
Have more than three years of experience in higher education;
Live in one of the countries participating in the selection;
Register on the Santander Bolsas platform;
Be fluent (speaking and writing) in one of three languages: Spanish, Portuguese or English.
In addition, the announcement informs that the selection process will be carried out in two phases. Thus, registration will only be validated after all assessment tests have been completed.
