To start, you'll need an empty and clean 2 liter pet bottle, water, string, fertilized soil and lettuce seeds. Putting this amazing tip into practice is simpler than you think!
First, cut the bottle and drill a hole in the cap. Fill the base of the bottle with water and thread the string through the hole in the cap, fitting the spout to the base.
In about 2 months you will be able to harvest fresh and tasty lettuces, grown by yourself at home! Use these items:
Empty and clean 2 liter PET bottles, the required amount according to your preference;
Water available for irrigation;
A bit of string or thick cotton rope for capillarity;
A stylus or scissors;
A soldering iron, nail, knife or other drilling tool;

Lettuce seeds — use as much or as little as you like to start your home grow.

Now, see the step by step to grow lettuce efficiently and sustainably at home:
With care and precision, apply the stylus or scissors to cut the bottles, about two fingers below the label line, in the part closest to the bottle spout;
Using a soldering iron, nail, knife or other tool of your choice, with total caution and safety, make a hole in the bottle cap;
At the base of the pet bottle, place water filling approximately one third of the total volume;
Thread the string through the hole in the pet bottle cap and insert the bottle's spout into the water-containing base. This will allow water to be automatically conducted to irrigate the land;
Add composted soil to the bottle's spout and then plant the lettuce seeds as indicated by the seed label;
After planting, water the soil generously and henceforth add water to the base of the bottle only when necessary;
Place the bottles in a well-lit place with sunlight and wait about two months for the lettuce to grow. During the period, if possible, spray wateron the leaves to prevent drying out and wilting.
Okay, now just wait for the lettuce to bloom and enjoy this healthy food!
