Offer Teresina society a solid guide to improve the quality of education, in its first stages. This is the main objective of the launch, last Friday (25), of the new Education Curriculum Kindergarten, in Teresina (PI), by the Municipal Secretary of Education (Semec) of the capital Piauí.
During the ceremony that marked the initiative – held in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of Piauí, with the presence of the secretary of education, Nouga Cardoso and managers and educators of the municipal education network – Mayor Dr. Pessoa highlighted that the new curriculum ‘is of the highest quality’, as it reflects the need to reconcile the reality (of the region) with the real need to develop early childhood education with quality in Teresina.

Financial education starts early and before it's too late
“It is a very high quality curriculum, where I am sure that those who contributed to the children's curriculum are highly qualified people who know the reality of the classroom. Our children will learn and develop their knowledge better with the new pedagogical methods”, highlighted the manager of the capital.
In addition to being fully in tune with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), created in 2017, to make it viable, the new Early Childhood Education Curriculum was preceded by analyzes thorough examination of current municipal curriculum guidelines, research of legal documents associated with early childhood education, study of the BNCC and an examination of theoretical contributions, such as the Neuroscience. At the same time, comparative studies were carried out with curricula adopted by other municipalities and practical and propositional workshops with managers, pedagogues, teachers and Semec technicians.
By emphasizing the 'historical importance of reformulating the curriculum' for early childhood education in Teresina, the secretary of education commented that this "is a moment of celebration, where we are launching today the curriculum for early childhood education in Teresina, which contains guidelines on how to improve, do well the education of our children”, adding that “we would like to honor, thank and recognize all the education professionals in Teresina who took pains to prepare this material, this curriculum, which will be available to all teachers and those who make up the municipal teaching network of our city".
