Mortina is a girl unlike any other: she is a zombie girl. She spends her days at the Decrepit Palace with her aunt Fafá Lecida and her inseparable friend, the albino greyhound Tristão.
Mortina's biggest dream is to have friends her age to play with, but her aunt never lets her leave the house, as she is afraid of the humans' reaction when they meet the girl.
To his delight, one day the perfect opportunity appears: Halloween, when all the children take to the streets in the most horrifying costumes. Mortina won't even need to change her clothes to face the greatest adventure of her life.
