Discover the charms of Latin America, through typical stories and essential information about each country in the region.
It's hard to find someone in Brazil who has never heard the story of the saci-pererê, the mischievous boy who gets everyone up to no good and is always wearing his red hat. Much less known, however, are the stories from nearby countries, such as “The Tupungato Cave”, from Chile, about a boy who travels to the top of one of the highest mountains in the country on an eagle; or “A flor de lirolay”, from Argentina, which tells the adventures of three brother princes involved in a challenging mission given by their father.
These are some of the many narratives that Latin America holds, with its cultures, landscapes and varied ways of life. In this book, award-winning writer Silvana Salerno, with her well-known narrative talent, brings twenty and two stories, each originating from a Latin country, plus information and facts about each region.
Embark on this journey full of emotion through South America, Central America and Mexico, and at each new stop, learn a little more about what it means to be Latino – something so plural and fascinating that only literature can help us understand it. unravel.
