Recently, in Jerusalem, Israeli archaeologists discovered eight steps about 2,700 years old at the pool of Siloam.
The place is known for being the place where, according to the content of the Bible, one of the greatest recorded miracles occurred: Jesus was passing through the place and restored the life of a blind man.

Ze’ev Orenstein, director of International Affairs at the City of David foundation, highlighted that excavations at the site, including the pool of Siloam and the Pilgrimage path, have a profoundhistorical significanceand represent an enduring bond that both Jews and Christians have with Jerusalem.
The Pool of Siloam, an archaeological and historical monument located south of the City of David, is an antiquity dating back around 2,700 years. During the reign of King Hezekiah, space played a crucial role in Jerusalem's water supply system.

The historical relevance of this place is also mentioned in the Gospel of John, specifically in the episode of the healing of a blind man.
Unfortunately, after the fall of Jerusalem in the year 70, the pool of Siloam suffered irreparable damage and ended up being buried by sediment resulting from winter rains over time.
However, recent archaeological excavations have revealed its importance and brought to light such fascinating relics, which shed light on the rich history of the region.
A small section of the Pool of Siloam, which has now been completely excavated, has been accessible to the public for several years.
Most of the area is still in the process of being excavated and will gradually be opened up as the entire site is unearthed.
Reverend Johnnie Moore, president of the Congress of Christian Leaders, shared with Fox News Digital, in January, that the pool of Siloam offers a historical treasure preserved and revealed at the moment appropriate.
He emphasized that this discovery reinforces the Scriptures, both in theological and geographical terms, in addition to reaffirming Israel's unquestionable and unique connection with Jerusalem.
According to the reverend, some discoveries may be theoretical, but this is undeniable and serves as tangible proof of the history recorded in the Bible and the heritage of the people of Israel.
