The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) issued a recall order last Friday (29), which impacted 28 batches with approximately 2.2 million bottles of the drink Apple flavored Cereser cider.
The reason behind the decision is concern over the presence of small fragments of glass in the liquid, which poses a potential health risk to consumers.

Resolution-RE No. 3,718/2023 determines the immediate interruption of the marketing, distribution and use of the product, in addition to requiring the responsible company to inform the collection of batches.
Anvisa claims that these batches were manufactured in 2023, while the company claims that the production date is 2022.
As indicated by the agency, around 0.2% of bottles may contain pieces of glass due to “changes in packaging during the filling process”.
Accidental ingestion of these fragments can result in cuts in the mouth or other areas of the body. digestive system, as warned by the competent authorities.
In response to the situation, CRS Brands, producer of Sidra Cereser, announced that “the problem has already been resolved and, to date, no incidents have been reported”.
The manufacturer also informed that it began a voluntary and preventive process of recalling units belonging to the impacted lots since September 22nd.

For consumers who purchased bottles from the aforementioned batches, CRS Brands Indústria de Comércio S/A requests that they get in touch for guidance.
This can be done by calling 0800 702 2517 or emailing [email protected]. The customer will be guided on the product recall or replacement procedure.
In a statement, CRS Brands highlighted that, to date, no accidents have been reported. Furthermore, they reinforced that:
“This measure is preventive, as the manufacturer identified the possibility that approximately 0.2% of the products in these batches were affected due to changes in the packaging during the filling process, which led to the transfer of small fragments of glass into the packaging. packaging”.
