The first route to go viral, found on Google Maps, had no less than 21,212 km. There are bridges and roads on the way to cross 17 countries and 3 continents.
This walk would have Cape Town, South Africa, as its starting point. After the long journey, the final destination would be Vladivostok, Russia.
However, a few days after the first publication, the user came back saying that there were updates for the route of the longest walk in the world.
Even though the starting point remained the same, now the destination would be Magadan, also located in Russia.
After revealing the new data, the route now covers 22,077 km, totaling 4,365 hours to complete the longest walk in the world.
Google Maps takes into account that the route will be covered without breaks, totaling more than 4 thousand hours, which is already quite impressive.
However, it would be necessary to sleep, eat and take bathroom breaks during the longest walk in the world.
Therefore, according to Popular Mechanics, walking around eight hours a day would take just over three years to complete the route.
In addition to strong legs, it would also be necessary to face the Russian cold and the desert heat of certain parts of Africa and the Middle East, as well as, of course, countries that go through wars and have borders hostile.
Furthermore, anyone who wants to face this epic saga needs to prepare for possible encounters with dangerous wild animals, especially in African territory.
So, are you up for the challenge?
