The range of vacancies is varied, consisting of 296 positions for science and technology analysts, 253 for researchers and 265 for technologists.
It is expected that the competition notice, which should be released soon, will launch vacancies for several research centers directly linked to MCTI spread across Brazil, as well as, there will be opportunities to work at the Ministry's headquarters, in Brasilia.
This selection is the first at MCTI since 2012, when 510 vacancies were made available for positions at medium, technical and higher levels.
The choice to focus on departments with staff shortages is strategic, considering the challenges faced by various sectors after years of reduction and limited hiring.
With this action, the administration aims to meet urgent needs and optimize the operability of entities associated with science, technology and innovation.

The competition, announced within the first 100 days of the government, is part of a context in which the reactivation of programs from previous PT administrations, such as Bolsa Família and Minha Casa, Minha Vida, were prioritized.
The launch of this competition is a measure to ensure the progression of pioneering research, refinement of services and the promotion of innovations that can enrich the society.
The selection process for the MCTI emerges as a chance for competent professionals interested in helping in the evolution and advancement of Brazil, with contributions in science, technology and innovation.
