Goodbye savings! THESE investments are equally safe and yield…
The answer is yes, thanks to Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC), which offers financial assistance to those who meet certain criteria. We'll explain everything you need to know about this important benefit.
The BPC is an assistance benefit paid by the INSS to two categories of beneficiaries:
Elderly people aged 65 and over;
People with disabilities of any age, as long as they can prove impairments lasting at least two years, of a physical, mental, intellectual or sensory nature.

It is important to highlight that only elderly people and people with disabilities who can prove low income are entitled to the BPC.
The criterion for this is that family income does not exceed a quarter of the minimum wage current per person. For 2023, this limit is R$330, which is equivalent to 25% of R$1,320.
Unlike other social security benefits, BPC is welfare, which means that it is not necessary to prove contributions to the INSS to receive it.
To estimate the value per family member, all members are considered, including the beneficiary, spouse or partner, parents, single siblings, children, single stepchildren and warded minors.
The sum of everyone's income is divided by the number of people in the group. If the result falls below the criteria for low income, the family fits the profile to receive the BPC. The BPC is equivalent to a minimum wage, which, in 2023, represents R$1,320.
The process for this is relatively simple, and the first step is to register with the Federal Government's CadÚnico.
A family representative must go to a Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) with the necessary documents. Some of them facilitate the process, such as proof of address and proof of school enrollment for children and young people up to 17 years old.
After registering with CadÚnico, the order must be made via the Meu INSS website or application, following some specific steps.
It is important to remember that the BPC is not a lifetime benefit. If family income increases or if impediments due to disability no longer exist, the amount will stop being paid.
Furthermore, the CadÚnico It is valid for two years, so it is crucial to keep it updated to avoid suspension of the benefit.
The BPC is an important social security network that aims to support the elderly and people with disabilities in situations of economic vulnerability.
If you or someone you know fits the aforementioned criteria, do not hesitate to seek this essential benefit to ensure a dignified life.
