Ingredients
Maize starch;
Dried lavender;
Citronella;
Eucalyptus leaves.
Method of preparation
Add the eucalyptus leaves to the blender and grind them until you get a fine powder;
Then add the handful of citronella and grind again until it is completely mixed;
Add the handful of dried lavender and blend until all the ingredients are in powder form;
Finally, blend the cornstarch envelope in the blender until all components are well incorporated;
Then, transfer all the talcum powder to a bottle with a lid;
Make some holes in the bottle lid to make it easier to apply the mixture. This can be done with a heated nail or knife;
Cover the container and store it in a cool, dry place.
Application of flea protection
To apply it to your dog, follow these steps:
Start by distributing the talc all over the animal's back, ensuring a uniform application;
Make sure to also cover the animal's belly, giving a gentle massage while applying the talc;
It is not necessary to brush or rinse the talc after application;
It is recommended to use this mixture once a week to keep your dog protected against insects;
Important: this powder should not be used on cats, as they are sensitive to the odors of eucalyptus and lavender.
Cornstarch, for example, is used to soften dogs' hair and fix the mixture on their bodies.
Eucalyptus leaves act as a natural repellent against parasites, while citronella keeps mites, mosquitoes and flies away from our faithful companions.
Another ingredient, lavender, gives a pleasant aroma, which does not bother dogs' sensitive sense of smell.
It's important to remember that our furry friends have a very keen sense of smell, and the softness and fragrance of this talc won't bother them.
