A Goal, the airline responsible for flight G3 1023, stated that the incident led to an emergency landing at Galeão International Airport (GIG), also in Rio de Janeiro.
The passengers, despite the great scare, were relocated to another aircraft and managed to take off safely, as announced by Gol itself. Furthermore, they all received assistance due to this stressful situation.
In a statement, the airline emphasized that it strictly complies with aircraft maintenance programs and monitors the parameters of each engine in real time.
