The new social network Threads, rival of X (formerly Twitter), served its community and launched the edit posts. Compared to its competitor, the good news is that the edition can be used by any user, as long as it is within an established time limit.
Platform users have a maximum of five minutes to correct typos. In addition, they can change other parts of the message or even include photos.

Although the editing time is short, it is better than in the case of X. This is because Elon Musk's microblog offers the editing tool only to X Premium subscribers. In other words, you need to pay to edit something that was posted on your social media profile.

Not all users yet have access to the new network function. The mechanism is gradually being made available to profiles. Only after making a new publication can you be sure whether the editing option is already available to you or not.
Another advantage when discussing editing posts on Threads is that the network apparently will not maintain any notice indicating that the post has been edited, unlike what happens on Facebook. Additionally, other users will also not be able to view previous versions of the same content.

In addition to the edit button, users are excited about the voice notes function. Now, it will be possible to record audio of up to 30 seconds to post on your timeline. These will be available depending on the privacy settings of each account.
A great advantage of Threads is the automatic transcription of audio, as is already the case on WhatsApp. In other words, if you don't want to listen to the voice clip, you can simply read the text version. The function is compatible with Portuguese, but some transcription errors may still occur.
