Recently, Google introduced an innovative feature called Generative Search Experience (SGE). It allows users to create images generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) directly from the default search bar.
Traditionally, people who wanted to transform text into an image using AI had to use specialized websites or services.

However, with the launch of SGE, Google simplifies this process, bringing the power of AI-generated images into the hands of its users.
Instead of just listing websites as search results, the system now generates coherent responses by applying data gathered from search results.
While this concept has been evolving, the latest update takes it even further as it generates images using advanced imaging technology. Google AI, Imagen.
People can enter descriptions of what they are looking for, such as “Capybara making lunch”, and in a matter of seconds, they are presented with a selection of four alternatives.
Users can save these images to Google Drive or download them for future use. The new capability also extends to Google Images, where users can generate figures directly on the platform.

Whether you're looking for “minimalist Halloween table settings” or “creepy dog house ideas”, examples provided by Google, a simple search will make the tool generate an image aligned with your order.
In addition to all this, the new functionality is integrated with Google Lens, allowing users to search for real-world products that match the images created by AI.
It is important to highlight that this new functionality is still in its initial phase and comes with certain limitations. To access it, users must be registered with Google Labs and have joined the SGE program.
Additionally, imaging functions are currently only available in the United States and exclusively in English-language applications.
Currently, people need to be at least 18 years old, although Google has expressed interest in making the program more accessible to teenagers.
As part of its commitment to the ethical use of AI, the company has taken steps to prevent abuse, such as preventing it from creating realistic images of human faces.
While it is possible to generate a figure of a capybara cooking bacon, trying to do the same with a public figure could raise ethical and legal concerns.
To increase transparency and accountability, Google implemented the SynthID system, developed by DeepMind and announced last month.
The system incorporates a discrete metadata watermark that unmistakably identifies a figure made by AI, along with information about the creator and the moment of generation.
To make use of these features, users can visit the Labs tab in the Google app on iOS and Android devices, as well as on desktop using Chrome.
