O Instagram is testing a new function which allows users to select only posts from selected profiles on the platform.
Adam Mosseri, director of social network, revealed the news in a live broadcast last Monday (23), considering a new update to the profile.

Currently, the selection seal is awarded to profiles considered influential or can be purchased through the Meta Verified service, when the user decides to pay for it.
Mosseri emphasized that this functionality will open up new opportunities for companies and content creators to stand out.
The “Meta Verified” filter will be available next to the “Following” and “Favorites” options when the user taps the Instagram icon, located in the top left corner of the application.
The subscription model offers specific benefits to subscribers, including the selection badge blue in the profile, priority in platform support and more protection against forgery identities.
Mosseri did not provide details on the extent of testing of this new tool, nor did he specify which users will have the opportunity to try it first-hand. There is also no defined forecast for the availability of this resource.
The “Verified Feed” is not something new for those who closely follow Instagram updates. In August 2023, developer Alessandro Paluzzi detected such a feature in the app's source code for both Android and iOS devices.

Initially, this feature was compared to the “Verified” tab in Twitter’s “Notifications” tab, currently ‘X’.
However, the distinction lies in the fact that the option on the social network to Elon Musk, X, simply separates user interactions with the profiles of X Premium subscribers.
Meta denied that it was testing the verified account filter on the Instagram feed and also denied confirm whether the functionality was in the development process or whether it would be made available to the public.
