By participating in the event, which brings together managers from federal institutes, federal technological education centers and Colégio Pedro II, the executive secretary of the Ministry of Education (MEC), Izolda Cela – representing, at the opening conference, the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana) – highlighted the work of the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education in national development (Rede Federal).

That's why I advocate that, in full-time secondary education, we can take advantage of the opportunity to have more time at school to add professional training,” she stated.
According to the executive secretary, the Federal Network has expertise and experience that can contribute to important programs for the Ministry, with the ‘National Literacy Child Commitment’. “The data shows us that we need to look at the base, at what comes before, otherwise we will be left with ‘clearing ice’. We need to commit to the beginning, as this way students have a better chance of success in school life. To this end, the ‘National Commitment’ [Literate Child] was launched. And this measure requires an agenda, focus, accountability and commitment from each and every one”, emphasized Izolda.
The Secretary of Professional and Technological Education (Setec/MEC), Getúlio Marques Ferreira, in turn, highlighted the role of Reditec, in the sense of combining technology, science, humanities and art, also present in the Network's teaching-learning process Federal.
