Bolsa do Povo, created during the Covid-19 pandemic and regulated by Law No. 17,372 in May 2021, is a true support network. Its purpose goes far beyond transferring income. The program focuses on the management of benefits, actions and projects to serve people in situations of social vulnerability.

It covers areas such as professional qualifications, social assistance, education, health, work, housing and sport. In addition, it offers financial aid that can range from R$100 to up to R$ 2,490.

Who is entitled to Bolsa do Povo?

Each program has its own requirements. But the good news is that a family can have more than one beneficiary, as long as they all meet the requirements of the social actions to which they are registered.

How to register for Bolsa do Povo?

Registration is done on the program's official website. It is important to mention that some registrations, such as those for the Education program, are temporarily closed, and there is no new reopening date available.

Unlocking the Bolsa do Povo Card

After registering for the program, there are several ways to unlock the card. One option is to request unlocking on Poupatempo totems. Have your State of São Paulo ID card issued after August 2014 or CNH on hand. To find the nearest totems, simply access the official website.

Another alternative is phone unlocking, which is free. Simply call or send a message to 0800 7979 800 and request release.

If you prefer, you can choose to unlock it online. Just follow a few simple steps on the Bolsa do Povo program portal, entering your CPF and password. You'll be ready to proceed once you've entered the beneficiary-restricted area.

And for greater convenience, you can also unlock the card at 24-hour banks and Banco do Brasil ATMs.

Housing assistance: It consists of a subsidy intended to temporarily assist with housing-related expenses for families that have been affected by rain, urban and/or environmental interventions.

Sports Talent Scholarship: Provides financial support to athletes of different sports and performance levels who intend to represent São Paulo and Brazil in national and international competitions. The scholarship values ​​vary according to the category, ranging between R$415 and R$2,490.

Citizen Income: Aimed at families who are in a vulnerable situation due to factors such as unemployment, underemployment, lack of professional qualification, illiteracy, precarious health conditions, inadequate housing, chemical dependency and others difficulties.

Fast Track: It offers free professional training for citizens looking to enter the job market or become self-employed.

Gas Valley: Provides income for the purchase of cooking gas cylinders (13kg LPG) for families in vulnerable situations.
