Brazilians will be able to enjoy a new holiday this week. With the arrival of the holiday Proclamation of the Republic, celebrated this Thursday (15), many companies and public bodies change their operations to guarantee the rest of its collaborators. As a result, consumers are wondering what will be open and which establishments will be closed on that day.

Banks
As established by the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), banks will not operate on November 15th. However, the areas of ATMs, applications and internet banking will continue to function normally. In relation to accounts due on November 15th, payment can be made on November 16th, without fines being charged.
stock Exchange
Just like banks, B3 will not operate on the Proclamation of the Republic holiday. No trading will be carried out, neither in the public securities market, agribusiness securities or variable income securities. Regarding the financing infrastructure, the systems' opening hours remain the same.
Post Office and INSS
Both the Post Office and the INSS will be closed this Wednesday (15). The reopening of both institutions will take place on Thursday (16), following business hours.
Gas Stations
Unlike other businesses, gas stations are required to open from Monday to Saturday, from 6am to 8pm, even on commemorative dates such as holidays. The decision is made by the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP).
Malls
Shopping malls will operate during special hours to take advantage of consumer availability. The establishments will operate as decided by the collective agreement with the workers' union in each municipality.
Most shopping malls will be open from 12pm to 8pm. However, it is recommended to check the opening hours of each mall before even leaving home.
Lottery Houses
According to Caixa Econômica Federal, the operation of lottery houses is the responsibility of the owners. In other words, each owner will be able to decide for themselves whether to open or close the lottery this Wednesday. However, all lotteries return to normal operation on Thursday.
